Delaney Ross is a Certified Physician Assistant currently working for Hawaii Pacific Health in the Pearlridge Urology clinic on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. She previously worked in the Emergency Department in Wahiawa and Kahuku for Hawaii Emergency Physicians Associated (HEPA).
Prior to graduating PA school, Delaney completed an intensive transition to practice rotation in urology with Chesapeake Urology. She also completed three rotations in public health clinics, including one in a primary care setting in the U.S. Micronesian territory of Guam. She worked with patients in Spanish at Prince William County’s public health clinic and the Mary’s Center Clinic in Washington DC. Serving underserved healthcare communities has always been a personal goal and was a cornerstone of Delaney’s previous career as a journalist.
She also obtained significant experience in surgery and outpatient surgical pre- and post-operative visits, completing her electives in orthopedic surgery and urology and her internal medicine rotation in cardiac surgery. She completed a tailored course for specialized surgical experience at the Advanced Surgical Training Program for PA Students at the University of Alabama Birmingham, a top-ranked PA school with a surgical focus.
Delaney graduated as a PA from Shenandoah University. Shenandoah’s PA Program is ranked 20th in the country in the US News and World Report’s 2023 ranking. Delaney also obtained a Doctorate of Medical Science, a research and leadership-focused doctorate that is a continuation of her PA education.
Delaney’s medical background before PA school included two years as an Emergency Department Technician and EMT at St. Francis Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Hartford Connecticut, experience that spanned the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In her spare time, she loves to travel, cheer on Liverpool FC and DC sports teams, and spend time on a horse, in/on the water and with her two shepherds, Bourbon and Gunnar.
